About Me

An old mentor of mine once said (something along the lines of) "seek His will and trust that the Lord has you exactly where you're supposed to be." AMEN.It's been a long time since I updated my myspace page and only logged on again to connect with a talented band I saw recently. Funny how things change so quickly...the details in "About Me" you write one day can change in a matter of years, months, days or hours.I recently got back from a personal vision trip to the Democratic Republic of Congo and am so incredibly grateful for that opportunity. Not only did I make some lifetime friends, but also gained an affirmed direction from God for my life. So I'm now working on some "next steps" to get myself there...classes, connections, new languages, maybe some drum lessons too :)I'm passionate that girls between 12 and early 20s know who they are and are empowered by that knowledge; that they weren't born just to be objects of sexual desire and servitude. I'm passionate that all people know what their own passions are, how they've been gifted, and how those two things align.

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

Whenever I see an artist, be it actor, singer, dancer, etc...I always think whether or not I could be friends with them...I think I could be friends with Jennifer Garner, Sarah McLachlan, Sheryl Crow, Carrie Underwood, Mia Hamm...I mean, why not? ....

Officially Lost Respect for G.W. Bush

Admittedly, I voted for Bush in 2004.  I still backed his idea of going to war.  I still do.  The original motivating force, at least, to go to war.  And though I haven't agreed wi...

Hate in the DRC

No Accident

Life is no accident.  All my experiences, all my joys, all my pains - nuh huh.  No accident. I've been humbled recently when just two years ago, I would have let this opportunity just build ...

Talk too much; Think too little

What would the world be like if everyone had an opinion but no one had the facts?  Try sitting in a liberal class discussion about the presidency. Answers to why you would or would not re-elect ...
