Humm…how can you sum up the interest of a person in a few words? Don’t know if it can be done, but here goes…I am a quilter…a “textile artistâ€â€¦it is what I am and what I do…I love the texture of the cloth, the play the colors, the process of creating…I’m a genealogist…I love interior design….collecting and antiques…computers, computer gaming, bird watching and feeding…writing…Reggie gave me my muse back for writing…reading…travel…education and learning…there have been some poor souls that have made fun of me or degraded me because I use “big wordsâ€â€¦cooking with my hubby…teas…music…before my health declined, gardening…as a matter of fact, I was just a few credit hours short of a horticulture degree when I dropped out of college to take care of my ex when he had a car wreck and broke his neck proving no good deed goes unpaid when he left me 25 years later for a co-worker after I became disabled :)…because of my health and disabilities and my baby sis who has CP, I am very interested in the rights of the disabled.a
Ok...I'll have to give this one some thought...but for now, it more of who I'd like to see again...people I miss...my Pawpaw and my Aunt Korinne...Lola Lovelady...people that have meant a lot to me and who I'd give anything to have more time with. I'd love to meet some of my ancestors...some of the ones I have discovered in my genealogical adventures...Sir Robert Ogle and his wife Matilda Maud Grey Ogle...I'm not too impressed with people of "star" status...they are to "full" of themselves and their importance...but yeah, I'd like to meet a couple...humm...Antonio Bandaras...yep...Tim McGraw...George W., author Ann Rule, chef/author Paula Dean, Robin Williams...is he really that funny?...Franklin Graham...Then there are the historical people of interest...Marie Antoinette if just to ask, "Girl what were you thinking?"' George Washington, Mata Hari, Ike; Walt Disney...I could pick up a history book and name just about anyone in it...Elizabeth I...AND on MySpace I would like to meet fellow quilters and genealogist.
Classical is probably my favorite: Vivaldi…Bach…Chopin…Beethoven…Pachabel Cannon in D…Mozart...most baroque; I like country music…Tim McGraw is a favorite…a big treat was going to see him with my own real live cowboy, Reggie , Rascal Flats, JoDee Messina, Vince Gill…I enjoy the oldies from the 50’s, 60’s and 70’s; bluegrass…Alison Kraus; Josh Groban; Ottmar Liebert; some Big Band and jazz…I love Christmas music; gospel and inspirational. Not fond of rap and hip-hop, heavy metal…other than that…I’m kind eclectic.New find: Il Divo
Well, if you every watched the TV show Remington Steele, you'll remember that Mr. Steele was a movie buff...sometimes I think I married him (now that I think of it, before he grayed prematurely Reggie was dark headed and he has big ol' blue eyes...and of course he's tall and handsome like Steele)...AND the man is a MOVIE BUFF like Steele...he loves movies...so we watch a wide variety. I don't care for most horror movies...and yes, he will watch a chick flick.Recently watched: The Queen, The Island, The Transporter, Because I Said So, Flags of Our Fathers
The CSI franchise, Law & Order Criminal Intent and SVU, Criminal Minds, NCIS, The Unit, I've become a big HGTV junkie, the Food Network, Extreme Home Makeover, Fox News Network, Cold Case Files, History, Biography and Discovery Channel. Anew show for the 2007-2008 is Women's Murder Club...it's not what your think! It's kind of a who-done-it staring Angie Harmon.

I have loved books since I was a little girl thanks to my parents. A home is not a home without books. Most of my books are packed right now. My reading interests are eclectic. Most recently finished a genealogy textbook for a class I was taking... Ann Rule is one of my favorite non-fiction authors. I have enjoyed many of James Michener’s novels. Inspirational, devotional, self-help...If it goes from A to Z, I can find something good to read. Currently reading: Memoirs of a Geisha, by Arthur Golden; The 10 Commandments of Marriage: The Do’s and Don’ts for a Lifelong Covent, by Ed Young; Stash-Buster Quilts, by Lynne Edwards, The Rough Guide to Blogging, Blogging for Dummies.Recently finished: Too Late To Say Goodbye, by Ann Rule; It Ain't All About The Cooking, by Paula DeenReading: 110 People Who Are Screwing Up America, by Bernard Goldberg
Yes, you are a true gentlewoman
Yes, you are a true gentlewoman. Be proud of your existence as there are not many left like you in this world. And stay the way you are.
Are you a gentlewoman? created by Myspace Quizzes & Surveys - Quizzes, Surveys, Tests, TriviasMy Pawpaw was an early hero to me...he was a saint in my little girl brown eyes. He always had a goodie for his grandkids. Tootsie Roll Midges and Teaberry gum were my favorites. He was a carpenter that made a cradle for my baby doll. He was a good and righteous man…my daddy tells a story about how Pawpaw walked several miles one time back to a store because the clerk had given Pawpaw too much change back. Pawpaw just didn’t want that on his conscience. He was a clogger and a fiddler…and he taught me my “times†table. Although he didn’t have a lot of formal education, he was one of the smartest men I’ve ever known…something he passed on to my dad. My husband Reggie is a hero. Not a day goes by that he doesn’t make by feel special and beautiful. He has the uncanny ability of looking past the fluff and veneer of today’s culture. He realizes that beauty comes in all shapes, sizes and ages. He values a person…not an image. My Aunt LaRue is a hero to me…she’s been there so many times when I’ve needed her. She’s survived so many health problems and she keeps going on. And my friend Robin…a gal with a can do attitude…what you see is what you get…and she’s been there for me in some really rough times. There was a sweet elderly Southern gentleman that was like a granddaddy to me, Herman Lovelady. He recently passed away I miss him more than I can tell you. And without John 3:16 where would any of us be?
