you say you're down on your luck/hey baby its a long, long way up/hold back now, hold back your fear

About Me

I'm a freelance music producer/engineer who also is a musician.

Never seen one of those before, have you?

(lisp) is the musical project (semantics make me hesitant to call it a band) I'm currently involved with, along with jhimm.

There is a new super secret musical project that will be starting sometime in the future. It will be cooler than your friend's band.

My life is all about music, my friends, my family, and not being afraid to turn left when everyone else tells me to turn right.

My Interests

Producing, recording, writing, and preforming music. Films. Books. Planning/getting my tattoos. Cooking. Making fun of hipsters. Making fun of just about everyone in Boston. Punk/Hardcore/Rockabilly subcultural development. Subcultural development (and abandonment) in general. Linguistic oxymornons. Avant-garde sound (mapping theory and indetermincy mainly). Overanalyzing everything. Red wine. Dark beer. Whiskey. Dry, dry, often bitter wit.

I'd like to meet:

Joe Strummer & Johnny Cash. (RIP)
Mike Ness.

Anyone who is interesting enough to hold my interest.

i realize that makes me sound like an elitist ass.
but its best you know that right away, no?

Music:

(lisp) (website)
(lisp) (myspace music)
(lisp) is my current musical project.
I listen to everything. A quick incomplete list might look like this:

The Clash, The Faint, Social Distortion, Johnny Cash, The Trouble, The Pinkerton Thugs

Walls of Jericho, Broken Spindles, Metric, Stray Cats, Cure, Misfits, Real Kids, The Amazing Royal Crowns, Specials, The Murder City Devils, Elliott Smith, George Jones, Hank Williams, Waylon Jennings, Merle Haggard, Elvis Costello, Rilo Kiley, theStart, The Vigilantes, The Shods, :30 Over Tokyo, Postal Service, She Wants Revenge, Carl Perkins, Gein & The Grave Robbers, Micah Blue Smaldone, Elvis, The Pogues, Portishead....And the list goes on and on.

Movies:

I watch more movies than is probably good for me. I generally will watch anything, but I will be more excited for films involving jean-pierre jeunet, john hughes, sheakespearian adaptation, zombies, or dystopias.
Top 3 movies nobody has seen but should:
joe vs. the volcano
clue
avalon (oshii)

Television:

i don't really watch television.
I am still extremely angry at HBO for cancelling Carnivale.
Carnivale was the best television show ever.
watch it and scorn all other television forever.

...on the other hand, Red Sox season is fast approaching...

Books:

this would take far too long.
in the past 3 months I've been reading:
harry potters (again...i started way too early),
a supposedly fun thing i'll never do again,
darkly dreaming dexter
