Music:
Metal - anything with a good hook and integrity. Chilled, folk - really getting into this of late. Prog rock - love 70's prog; Pretty much anything that's been done well, I try to keep an open mind about music and will give anything a go. The only genre that riles me is garage - I just find it really bland and shallow - like there's no emotion in it all. I've been developing an interest in folk & mediaeval style music recently - I'd like to find out more about pagan/celtic bands.There's so many bands that I love, where to start???First off, Queen, Metallica & Iron Maiden - they were the first. Then came Carcass, Emperor, Dissection, Immortal...I can't really be bothered to list all of the bands I like - it's pointless as there are so many!
Movies:
Bladerunner, LOTR, Alien series, Braveheart, Highlander, Hellraiser, The Wickerman, Gladiator, The Green Mile, Kingdom of Heaven....loadsHorror & ancient history are my main passion, along with fantasy, sci-fi etcBasically, I love any film that stirs some emotion in me - I love braindead cheesy action too, but a film that brings a tear to my eye is a winner!
Television:
Spooks, Overhaulin, Top Gear, American Chopper, CSI, CSI Miami, Robin of Sherwood (old skool!) news...I try not to watch too much television....
Books:
Soooo many - Iain M Banks, Tolkein, Gemmel, Robert Jordan (love the Wheel of Time series). I'm really into fantasy & sci-fi, but I do try to read outside of that too sometimes LOL.
Heroes:
Muscially: Hetfield, Hammett, Page, May, Steer - I'll never be anywhere close to these guys, but they've provided me with inspiration to learn something I'll never lose.Heroes are the people that I see around me that provide me with a passion for all aspects of life! :o)
