It all started in January of 2002 when old friends Jeff Crowson and Jeff Bishop met up after several years of marriage and chasing careers. By this time their marriages had pretty much fallen apart bringing divorce and all the crap that comes with it.
So, they are driving down the road and Jeff Crowson made some unremembered comment about the unremembered band on the radio to which Jeff Bishop responded "I've always wanted to do that". "Do what?" Crowson questioned, "Be in a band. Sing." Bishop said and so with absolutely no prior musical experience and even less of a clue what they were getting themselves into they headed out on the journey to be... well..... not Journey!
Jeff Crowson "The Crow" went to the local music store and bought a cheap electric guitar and small practice amp while Jeff Bishop gave away all his living room furniture. They called a couple guys to come over and with no microphones, p.a., speakers or a clue of any kind they got started writing some songs and working on some cover tunes, all of which were disasters. All of which sounded exactly like disasters.
A lot has happened since then and these guys kept plugging away at it. Nightflying said "Tight, well crafted", "rockers".
Jeff Bishop: We have had the pleasure of playing with some fine musicians in the 3 different incarnations since that first day and we have played the same stage with Audrey Kelley (niece to Oscar winner Mary Steenburgen), Popsonic, Strange as Fiction, our good friends from Sychosys and more.
Solbearing will always be one of the highlights of my life. A real defining moment for me. It was awesome and The Crow and I would like to thank all of you for your support and encouragement. Thanks for tuning in.
