A RISKY SIX

About Me

Created in Norwich 2006 from the mental boredom of the current musical climate. A Risky Six started as jam sessions between bass player Sam (from the now legendary and non-existnt Norwich Band 'I Don't Know') and guitarist Rhys' pieces (From the realms of his bedroom). After a few a these 'sessions' the boys decided they wanted to rock the fine city of Norwich, and rock it they did, recruiting seasoned drummer Paul and singer/songwriter Kate, they played a handful of gigs in Norwich before deciding that they wanted to move to Brighton. With Paul staying behind, Kev of Overreal (who had once supported Coldplay) took up sticks so A Risky could go on a small tour of some of the villages around Norfolk. After a couple of months on ice the A Risky crew of Kate, Sam and Rhys reconvened in Brighton, Inviting French Drummer Clement on board. After a couple of rehearsals Kate decided to leave to continue on a solo path, making the band vocaless and within a few months without a drummer when Sam and Rhys decided the drummer wasn't working.Slightly down, lady luck was on the side of the boys, who knew someone who knew a singer looking for a band. Sam and Rhys met vocalist Frey and instantly took her on to the A Risky Six train. Within a month a new drummer, Robin was employed to take the the seat behind the drums. After several more months of getting gig ready Robin decided to leave and concentrate on other projects. Were our heroes ever going to get a Break.....? Well yes, thanks to the internet, they found the boy Steve (Drummer No5) and after a few practices have begun rocking Brighton and soon who knowsTo Book A Risky Six or for more information either message us or email [email protected]
