Founded in 1993 as a ritual-instrumental project by Sven Bussler, Torsten Bessert joined the project in 1995.
Until 1997 there were three tape releases and Coinside played many shows in Germany to promote themselves. In 1997 Veit Beck joined the band in charge to the management stuff and became the third bandmember behind the maschines on stage.
1998 Coinside was part of the Wave-Gotik-Treffen line-up for the first time.
In 1999 the first Cd "Negator" was released. Their fanbase was grown through the last years and many many fans wanted to get the older songs in high quality. So Coinside decided to release a best of Cd wich contains 15 tracks from their first three tapes in 1999. In 2000 the band played at the Wave-Gotik-Treffen for the second time.
2002 was the year of their first clubhit "Hexenhammer" which spreads over Germany. The track was one of five of their e.p. "Malleus Maleficarum".
The biggest success until now was the release of their second album "Elf" in 2003. The following gigs were very successful and in 2005 Coinside gave their 3rd show at the WGT.
At the moment Coinside works on exclusive material which will be released as content of their so called "Coinside Box", which is a very special 4Lp collectors-box in a very limited edition of only 99 copies.
