Add to My Profile | More VideosI wanted to take a moment to thank everyone for the incredible support! I find myself adding new friends from around the globe – everyday. It is one of the most amazing things to me – to visit a “friend’s” page and hear one of my songs playing! Thank you!!! If you like what you hear – please take a moment to post a comment or send me a message.
I have a new acoustic project that’s gigging around the Wisconsin/Illinois area featuring Michael Sean (of Bellevue Suite). Michael is one of the most talented singer/songwriters in the Milwaukee/Chicago area and I am lucky to get to perform with him. Please check out our new project on myspace – my second ‘friend’ on the top 24.I had the 1 (and 4) spot on the New Age – Progressive charts over at broadjam.com w/ ‘Lucid Dreaming’ for over 6 months and ‘Metamorphosis’ holding in the top 10 for 9 months! Currently, that is the only place to purchase and download my music BUT a new CD is in the works. Stay tuned! For now – visit www.broadjam.com and search for me.
More new music is in the works. I should have some new material uploaded in the next month or two. I’ve been hard at work in the studio for a few weeks now and hope to have something up soon. Stay tuned! A new video for ‘Enigma’ is also scheduled. Thanks to all of you that viewed or downloaded the video. It’s available on Youtube, Google videos, Yahoo videos, and of course here on myspace. The new one will be even better and it’s being shot in HD!
Welcome Friends!
Mitch Cooper is a well known local musician of 20+ years to the Milwaukee area. Usually associated playing bass and keyboards (at once!), he's also a skilled guitar player and has quite a lot more to offer. Mitch is often seen performing playing 2 or more instruments simultaneously (his specialty) and has gained respect and admiration from the area’s best. His live performances feature multi-tasking in a way that’s rarely ever seen! Using both hands and feet, his left hand will be hammering a stringed instrument while the right plays keyboards. He covers the left keyboard parts using a set of foot pedals and his right foot controls the sustain pedal. Add to that – singing harmony vocals – and you’ve got an act that’s got to be seen in person to appreciate! In addition to live performances with many local groups, he also does all types of studio and production work; as well as compose music crossing many genre's from acoustic ballads to progressive fusion instrumentals.
Mitch has been involved with music since age 4 starting on the piano. He quickly progressed to brass instruments and eventually guitar and bass. Still not satisfied with his current arsenal of instrument abilities, he's expanding his skills on banjo, mandolin, sax, flute, and even the bag pipes.
It's in the studio is where Mitch really shines. His perfect pitch and great ear as well as impressive improvisational skills make for a great asset while recording. He has produced and performed on demos for Perple Rain, FourPlay, Vote FoR Pedro, Feedback, Jennifer Lee, Michael Sean, and many others. His own compositions are a show of the abilities at hand. Take a listen to the mp3's listed here and look for his album 'Beyond The Horizon'. Six tracks made it into the mp3.com's top 10 for Milwaukee and "The Magic Lantern" made to number 1 for 3 weeks in 2001!
Mitch Cooper has performed in venues such as: The Billboard Awards - LA House of Blues, House Of Blues - Chicago, Northern Lights Theater - Milwaukee, Festa Italiana, Summerfest, and hundreds of clubs throughout the Midwest. Always pushing himself to the limit, he gives 110% at every show and pushes the performance level to the threshold. Once termed a "multi-tasking - over-achiever", his performances must be seen to believe.
He is currently performing all over the Midwest with the Scott Berendt Band and his unplugged acoustic show w/ Michael Sean.
Look for many NEW projects, gigs, and performances in 2008!
If you like a song - PLEASE hit the 'Send Message' button and share your thoughts! You'll probably make my day! Every song listed here tells a story – even though they are instrumental.
