Bohse Onkelz

Bohse Onkelz formed in 1979/1980. After disavowing a very controversial past - Bohse Onkelz went on to gig with the Rolling Stones, Pro-Pain (they covered Terpentin) & Danzig, not to mention top the charts in Germany time & time again. The picture on the front page here is of a VERY LIMITED 7" tribute to the band featuring 4 of their best songs performed by 2 German based tribute bands. Google for info on the Bolzwerk/Second Hand split.Bohse Onkelz ended with "La Ultima" the farewell shows (with about 100.000 fans) which took place on 17th and 18th June 2005 at the EuroSpeedway Lausitz (Lusatia, Brandenburg) with support acts such as Motrhead, Machine Head, J.B.O., In Extremo, Psychopunch, Children of Bodom and other bands and Onkelz coverbands like the Enkelz played. Misfits and Turbonegro had first agreed, but withdrew after public pressure. Marky Ramone cancelled a few days before the concert, because he was threatened with boycott in the USA. Bohse now are no more.
