About Me

VIDEO: RIGHT ON AT THE 09 INAUGRAL BALL Brad Brewer, a Virginia native, has carved a niche for himself in the musical world. He started playing in and fronting local rock bands when he was 17. After high school, Brad studied music at Old Dominion University, but followed his academic love of communication. All the while, he played music at night to keep the tuition money coming in. Sharing his time between ODU and Tidewater Community College, he received an Associates degree in Social Science, and a Bachelors degree in Communication. For 2 1/2 years, Brad also worked as a woodwind instructor for Princess Anne H.S., helping to cultivate young musical minds! Having traveled extensively throughout the US, Canada, and the Caribbean, Brad has made a name for himself as a musical chameleon! From Island music with the likes of The Calypso Nuts and the Latin Flava Orchestra, to rock and jam bands such as New Direction, All That, TruFusion and the legendary Sol Libre, he has traversed the musical genre boundries. He's also had the pleasure of sharing the stage with the likes of Smokey Robinson, Amy Lee of Jimmy Buffett's Coral Reefer Band, "Tall Paul" Boble, harmonica phenom Michael Crawley, Karl Werne, Dana Silver, Bryan Dunn, Julie Clark, Dan Martier, Mike Profitt, and Kevin So. Brad has been on numerous studio projects with artists The Calypso Nuts, Selvin Mejia, Right On, and the Sonya Lorelle Band. Brad Brewer is currently running with the Right On funk/ show band out of Virginia Beach, VA.
