About Me

..

Seraph 49 was born of James Sadler's Haven Sole and Raven F.'s Brutal Bastion. The two wanted to meld the styles that both bands had maintained for several years yet needed a more dance floor accessibility mixed with the good aspects of noise. Hence Seraph 49 came to be. With their first track, "1000 Sunsets," they showed what would come to be the bands format.
James Sadler (AKA: Haven Sole ) is the voice of Seraph49. Growing up with such influences as; Smashing Pumpkins and Ani Difranco motivated him to pick up a bass which then led him to move to the guitar. He played coffee shops for 2 years with his own folk style and then transitioned into gothic and darkwave when he discovered electronic music.
Raven F. is the vision of Seraph49. His musical interest started at a very young age. A plethora of musical genres pushed him to never give up his dreams. He started as a club DJ in the early 80's. He then formed his first punk band in 1985. This was just a stepping stone. A few years later he formed a goth/metal band. By their second year they started to experiment with electronics, ie drum machines and synths. In 1990 he'd aquired his own machinery and started his solo ventures. Delving into experimental soundtracks with various projects such as Proxy and TX3. Through it all, he hasn't fogotten his early influences, Cabaret Voltaire, Clock DVA and Kraftwerk, from the early eighties, which helped to inspire and motivate him to carry on.
The new "WeatherHead 2" Compilation is out and getting rave reviews. Check out some snippets and then order it! HERE
