About Me

The new STUMBLETOWN STEVE ADAMS website is now up and stumblin'. Click HERE and stumble in for a visit!
The emergence of Seattle’s STUMBLETOWN STEVEN ADAMS as a singer/songwriter is a story of measuring success in the journey and not the destination. Through his life’s experiences (documented in 2005’s The Closet of Influence, a collection of writing, sketches and photos), Stumbletown has crafted songs that are at home in classic rock as they are in country and alt-pop. Called an “alternative adult rocker,” his provocative music touches upon the human spirit in metaphors wrapped in a melancholic soundtrack.
In 1999, Stumbletown began songwriting on a serious level at age 44. Since then, he’s amassed a prolific body of work, including three full-length records, several EPs and tracks on compilation albums. Even so, his latest CD, The Riddle In Doubt, is easily his best work yet, painting a tangible face on moods, from the blank stare out of a cold window on a pouring raining afternoon, to the feeling when the house is empty, the girl is gone and the guitar is out of tune.
Along with producer/musician Brian Nelson (whose studio credits include Jesse Sykes, Sister Psychic, Love Battery, Hater, Nirvana and Helldregs), guitarists Michael Lucas (Dead City Rebels, Thirteen Questions), and Kevin Whitworth (Crisis Party, Love Battery, Broshis), and bassist Jason Freeman (Los Hornets, Zeke), Stumbletown Steven Adams has a lot to say -- and the forlorn sway of his emotions as expressed through a well-played guitar -- is something we can all relate to.
Much has been said about music genre's, age factors and audiences, music and its legitimacy. Stumbletown Adams' music transcends any of these conceptions, tending to cross any and all boundaries, much like the drunken walk home at night filled with stumbles, curses and all else that goes with it.
And the name Stumbletown? That’s the title of his first full-length record, but it’s really based upon life, as he knew it somewhere in his foggy past.

Influences: Sheeeeittt !!!! Influences...tooo many to mention. I wish I could take you on a roller coaster ride through my head.... HEAR IT....FEEL IT...SMELL IT...FEEL IT AGAIN....TOUCH THE NOISE....smell the beauty of cigarettes burning, perfume off of a gorgious girl.....of course, the stench of beer on the floor...and the FEEL of a new song...ah, thanks to those before me..stumbletown, peace...out
Sounds Like: Its like this: I might drag you in with some acoustic guitar and a melody of empty beer cans crashing into the recycle bin....only to have some punishing barre chords make you wish you pre-functioned BEFORE you came over!! Something like, "DID YOU FORNICATE ON THE WORLD TODAY / DID YOU FLIP IT OFF WITH A BIG OK," Actually, I like extremes and sometimes there's a fit in the middle. Think of the Bush twins keeping Keith Richards warm at night!!!!
