The future is as bleak or as beautiful as you want it to be... =)

About Me

a few permanent things about me:

I love animals of any fur, scales, shells and exoskeletons!
I wear my emotions on my sleeve.
I love a Mr. Pie (he's orange and he makes me laugh).
I am not a spider squisher.
I read for fun.
I'm too paranoid to watch scary movies.
I am easily amused.
I'm generally optimistic.
I avoid lying.
I don't believe in fate.
I'm an open book.
My 2 favorite books of all time are: The Little Prince by Antoine de Saint-Exupery and The Time Traveler's Wife by Audrey Niffenegger

I'm not always successful, but I try to live by these mottos:

Free your mind from worries.
Exhaust your heart from hatred.
Live simply.
Give more.
Expect less.

My favorite short story:

One evening an old Cherokee told his grandson about a battle that goes on inside people. He said, "my son, the battle is between 2 wolves.

One is Evil. It is anger, envy, sorrow, regret, greed, jealousy, arrogance, self-pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority, lies, false pride, superiority and ego.

The other is Good. It is joy, peace, love, hope, serenity, humility, kindness, acceptance, benevolence, empathy, generosity, truth, compassion and faith."

The grandson thought about it for a moment and asked, "which wolf wins?"

The old Cherokee simply replied, "The one you feed."

Something simple.

Henry DeTamble. =)

"...it permeates all things,
yet is beyond our reach.
untouched,
untainted.
it is like the sunlight on your palm,
which blesses you with warmth
but disappears the moment you close your hand to capture it..."
