Jesus Christ and him crucified is the answer to life. For those who don't believe you must look to Christ and him crucified to be saved from the world the flesh and the devil and an eternal hell, and to those who are saved you must look to him and what he has finished exclusively for santification and just living for God. There is nothing else. Religion, self effort, works, motivation is a waste of time, only your relationship with Christ matters. The scriptures say whoever shall lose his life for my sake will find and whoever shall find his life will lose it. This is serious business. Life or Death. "But now the righteousness of God apart from the law is revealed, being witnessed by the Law and the Prophets,even the righteousness of God, through faith in Jesus Christ, to all and on all who believe. For there is no difference;for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,being justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus,(ROMANS 3:21-24). Look to Christ for he is risen!
