About Me

I'm a self-professed political moderate and a realist. I would cross the aisle to vote for someone that is decent and has a good plan to take this country forward.I'm engaged to Doug -- my best friend and a wonderful man that I've known more than half my life.I love New Yorker cartoons, animals, ice cream, good music and skimming Lake Martin in a boat.I am obsessed with the "For Better or For Worse" comic strip and Harry Potter, and I can admit it. In fact, I'm hoping to buy the English version of the Harry Potter series when we're overseas.I love my life in general and my fiance' specifically -- not too much longer before our big day is here!I try to enjoy my work -- but I recognize that it's ok if I don't. Work does not equal life. I never worry about confusing the two.I'm a writer and an editor, but more comfortable as an editor. It's much more satisfying to make someone elses' work better than to contribute more mediocrity to the world. ;-) I love Europe and just about everything about it. We will be visiting Vienna, Salzburg, Mittenwald, Munich and some of the Saltzkammergut on our honeymoon. We have agreed that we would both love to live in London someday.I have wonderful and supportive friends who have been there for me through good times and bad over countless years. We have a beautiful blue tortie named Luna and an Italian Greyhound named Miles.

I love my family, friends, hometown (Wetumpka!) and Auburn Football! And I can be found most non-work days on my front porch, at a coffee shop, at the lake, on the beach or curled up on my couch with a good book.

Our house!

My Interests

Reading, writing, horseback riding, driving, talking, taking hot bubble baths, relaxing in hammocks, bumming on the beach or at the lake, hanging out at Crestwood Coffee Company, snuggling down with my sweetheart just about anywhere
