About Me

MyGen Profile Generator TO ORDER "ANATOMY OF A BREAKUP" CLICK HERE Juan Patiño - Grammy-nominated, Multi-Platinum Record Producer / Mixer / Composer / Singer / International Man of Leisure - is a musical medicine man who's been offering high-strength remedies to countless artists and clients for the last 15 years. Having arrived in NYC as an immediately washed-up actor, he abruptly discovered that the ONLY way to pay his rent would be by reverting to his backup plan - a career in music.First heard on-air as the main composer for Comedy Central during its launch year, Patiño coughed up a slew of :30 second scores for the network's cutting-edge Image Campaigns. Producing, composing and performing all the instruments and vocals with extravagant harmony became his signature trademark and soon word spread of his stunning overnight turnaround times. HBO, Lifetime, ESPN, Showtime and Cinemax followed soon thereafter forming a parade of Patiño's :30 second spots across the TV dial.In addition to Composing Music For Television, Patiño pursued his first love of producing, engineering and songwriting for artists in the Greenwich Village music scene. One such artist was a then undiscovered talent by the name of Lisa Loeb. For their first collaboration, Patiño produced and engineered the song STAY which Director Ben Stiller then featured as the end credits theme for his hit film, Reality Bites starring Ethan Hawke. Radio stations around the country overspun the record until it smashed-through at No.1 on Billboard's Hot 100 Chart. A Grammy nomination followed and the million-selling single spawned an unprecedented recording contract with Geffen Records.Having produced and engineered one of the most visible songs of the mid-90s, Patiño was hailed (and sleeted) as the No.4 Record Producer of '94 by Billboard Magazine and was subsequently tapped by Geffen Records to Produce TAILS, Loeb's platinum debut album. The success of TAILS brought Patiño to the attention of Atlantic Records who had him produce You Were Meant for Me with JEWEL. Over the next decade, Patiño and Loeb collaborated in his NYC recording studio amassing six different radio singles plus a follow-up GOLD Record entitled Firecracker. Having co-written Let's Forget About It, the 2nd Hot 100 single from that record, Patiño was hoisted onto the shoulders of rabid fans as they raced through the streets of NYC, delirious over his Grammy nomination for Best Engineered Album. But we digress. In addition to the Reality Bites movie soundtrack, his productions can also be heard in films like Steven Spielberg's TWISTER and the Soundtrack to FRIENDS Vol. II.Transitioning seamlessly between the Record Industry and the Ad Industry....Patiño, THE SINGER, has been woven into the American landscape as the voice behind a variety of TV Commercial jingles for Budweiser, Miller, Crayola, Pizza Hut, Pepperidge Farm and Pringles. Enriching the endless river of SAG residuals that flood his mailbox.....Patiño's royalty contracts stipulated that he receive a 3yr. supply of every product about which he has ever sung. (sang, sing-ed, finished singing about?)His recent debut solo album, Anatomy of a Breakup, has been described as a "...plush, FM friendly, post-neo-retro-futuristic Pop Record..." and can be heard at juanpatino.com. His parents really liked it.Watch for Juan's starring role as the devilishly handsome RECORD PRODUCER/Ex-BOYFRIEND on E! Entertainment Television's new hit series, No.1 SINGLE.
