I was born and raised in New York, moved to charlotte in 1996 and my family soon chased after me. The rest is history.
Since he was a little boy he has studied and mastered four musical instruments ranging from guitar to saxaphone. He fell in love with dance music in 1992 when he was in Greece and went clubbing for the first time. It was all over for him after that. He knew then that music was going to be a major part of his life.
JD has had residencies at The Underground, Palladian, City Tavern and Twist in Charlotte N.C. He has moved crowds at Crush, Club 9, and Illusions also in N.C. He also has rocked crowds at Eclipse and Empire in N.Y. JD implores his own unique style and stage presence, with his smooth and contagious beats."If you listen, you can hear it in my style, I try to be diverse, I try to play what would make you dance." If it's mixing hip-hop with rock and 80's or dropping high energy dance, JD is known to read and rock any crowd. JD has earned recognition for his DJ repertoire which allows him to unleash a flurry of energy every time he steps behind the decks.
