The Fear That Lies Beneath started as a side project of a band called Amaranthine. We've been together for almost 2 years now. The original (core) members of the band consist of Josh and Dustin, but we have now recruited Zakk (shred) and Levi (bass), and not disappointed. We've been playing music together since we were 12 - 13 years old. We wrote a few songs and played a few gigs, we've had some members come and go, and have had our fair share of heartbreak. but we always seem to bounce back in the end.
Were not gonna play the "popular" music and never sell out to make an extra buck(Dertah Ome). There is not much more to say, other than we bust our asses to bring you what we love........ "metal". We are always writing new music and bringing the brutality to a new level, and we will for the rest of our lives.

10 things to know about this band:
1.) We had the cops called on us because of our crazy fans. For example: the show at the First Presbiterian church had the cops called on it because of our hardcore moshers. The promoters of the show asked us to tell our fans (that we call sockmoshers) to stop moshing. We made the announcement, but offered another suggestion"that instead of moshing they hardcore headbang" Hardcore headbanging is a form of headbanging, that is so hard that you throw your boddies around, not in the act of moshing but in the act of mistakingly hitting someone. This unfortunatly led to a mix of thrashing and moshing, and in the end moshing anyway.Tthe cops were called by the church representatives present at the hall during the event. The cops showed up after we left.
2.) We are LOUD!!!
3.) We refused to be censored. except when were playing at a church, we then show respect by not swearing in-between songs, but we swear during songs.
4.) Our fans give us life. If there is not a sizable croud, we have no energy.
5.) Our neighbors definately dont like us accept for Kurt. Rock out with your cock out Kurt!
6.) We enjoy playing any hours.
7.) Were done playing Fucking gay ass Battle of the Bands!
8.) If you dont like us we dont like you!
