About Me

I never felt comfortable calling myself a poet untill my heros called me one. I still feel a little silly because this is not a choice for me if, I didn't write my heart would cease to beat. But the muses metronome rings in my ears. A pacifist whose bled pens dry, I create my own reality. I've never been able to sleep very well, so I'm making up for this deficiency by dreaming in ink. I used to paint with aerosol, but lately I've been painting with language... I have graffitti written on my soul. I pretend I live next to the ocean. My desire is to push the boundarys of poetry in every direction, to expand beyond mere metaphore and rhyme scheme. I scheme to tear poetry apart and build it back up again in my own fashion, and use words to build bridges, Educate the masses, Make emotions overflow, Maybe even drop a few jaws. I'm never satisfied with my own work because I know it can always be better, go farther, do more. Developing early carpul tunnel syndrome and a resistance to ink poisoning. Fanning the fire in the pit of my stomach.I am the 2006 Nationals Youth Slam champion. I'm always hungry... I swallow the truth, there's a seven alarm blaze raging in my empty tummy... If I couldn't speak I'd explode.I finished my book! "This is my Life... Take it!" Available NOW! A 100 page, Hand illustrated, Hand Sewn Binding, Hand created collection of poems done with all love. Sounds Like: Allen Ginsburg swallowed Stevie Wonder under Mos Defs nose, and Billie Holiday and Tupac had a play day with James Brown and Bob Dylan at Oingo Boingos apartment in Sinatras building while listening to Marvin Gaye sing to Shakespeare in the corner of Maya Angelous room, When Queen and Bob Marley went skipping to the beat ofJ ohn Lennon KRS1, Freddie Mercury, and Talib Kweli... actually just sounds like Sketch.
