"The kings humble beginnings began at a studio in High Barnet. The first meeting between Jimmi and Oz began on a park bench discussing influences. But both had very different musical ideas. Oz had a passion for Modern Punk/Metal/Hip Hop and Jimmi loved Sixties Jam and Psychedelia. The first few months at Shock N' Awe studios went quietly. Their influential differences created a barrier, until the two realised the other shared a passion for funk and arabic and the two began jamming together.Over time their influences branched off and began to meet. They both shared a need to make something unique and to just be themselves. Both have grown and watched each other develop into fine open-minded musicians who are always trying to get better and take on different ideas.Jimmi first met Sam at a gig he was playing at the All Saints Art Centre, and his stage presence and amazing ability blew Jimmi away. Backstage, amongst all the other bands, Sam and Jimmi briefly spoke, and Jimmi promised to steal Sam as a king. A few weeks later the two met up again at another gig, and the two decided to get together for a jam session. The first few jams with all three kings had meaning. They were a mismatched bunch, but their differences are what made them so unique.The Oz's has the ability to create alternatively phrased drum beats that always fit so perfectly with whatever song they produce. His mix of old Jazz/Funk mixed with heavy modern and old metal/punk create a powerful intimidating presence.Sam's uninhibited, contemporary heavy funk style, and unending source of energy on stage mean that he is constant reminder for the others to never let the momentum go and to always keep pushing the boundaries.Jimmi King's mystique vocals, macabre lyrics and wailing guitar give the music an unhinged raw feel.They are a terrifying ensemble.
