About Me

MyGen Profile GeneratorMay/June 2003: Spider Layne sings for the Lazy Sods, a punk band whose drummer is Nicolo. The band splits but Layne and Nicolo decide to keep on working together. July/August 2003: Spider grabs his guitar back and looks for a bassist and a singer. Stephane Jardin comes in for the singing and ends up taking back his eternal main instrument: the bass guitar. September 2003: The band rehearses with Layne on vocals and guitars, Jardin on bass and Nicolo on drums. Garage hits like "Hello Dad" are conceived as Layne meets solo guitar player Mick Strip who decides to give it a shot... for good. October 2003/February 2004: A solid set list is built and five tracks are selected for the upcoming demo album. March 2004: Comic Strip’s first demo album (5 tracks) recorded at l’Astronef. June 2004/May 2005: Comic Strips plays bars and concert venues mainly in Paris: le Gibus, l’Abracadabar, le Cactus, No Studio, Café Cultures, Café Montmartre, La promenade des Anglais, Café Gambetta, etc.. June 2005: "Eventail" (a 7-tracks demo cd) is recorded at l’Astronef. Jardin moves out of Paris and leaves the band, but keeps collaborating in the song writing process. 2006: Comic Strip rebuilding itself with a new setlist and ready to go on the road starting January 2007!

Unfortunatly, after one last show at Le Klub (Paris) the band split.

Spider Layne became Alexandre de Kervigen, actualy working with Nicolo on his first EP (The Whorehouse), Mick Strip, also Slutterhouse boy became a famous manager and producer travelling all around europe (for Playground and other band) and Nicolo keep punk’rockin’ (guitar and vocals) in his own band: Nicolo.
Beware, watch out... everything’s possible, you might see two, three or four member of Comic strip on stage... when, how... you have to discover it!
