The foundation of "Plus" starts in the summer of 2002 as a no-named band in Athens from Loukas and Giannis [friends for years and formal members of Bella Union, an indie-pop soundlike band who released 1 lp, 1 ep and 2 singles from 1992 to 1998 and won radio and commercialy success with songs like "spring", "night flight" and "see me smile" until their broke up - winter of 2000] when Loukas set out to find a new band after a 2 year retirement from any musical actions.
Giannis was just stopped from serving his time in the greek army as anyone from Greece has to and joined immediately Loukas to form the band that much later named "Plus".
After some "home studio rehearsals" they decided to find a female singer and they’ve found her in the face of Vanessa, a singer with a power-pop based voice and several years of experience working with many pop-called artists of the local scene of Greece.
She always wanted to be a member of a band with European class sound and they’ve invite her to join the band after a private rehearsal of demo recording to the song that later proved to be first single of the band and the only video clip till date, "oti ki’ an ginei".
After spending several months of writing songs and developing their sound (a mix of melodic vocal harmonies with powerfull chorus and strong pop-rock based arrangements) they signed a record deal with V2 Hellas and after 6 months of recording they released their first album simply called "Plus", a name that their sound engineer and co-producer Giorgos Alamaras gave them, saying that everytime he was listening to their songs he was feeling a kind of positive energy, he was feeling "plus".
In the summer 2006 Vanessa decided to leave the band in a friendy way so the left members forced to search for a new singer (later found in Tonia - a tallented new singer who returned back the band’s lost energy as they discovered again the joy of making music).
Right now they are working on the songs for a second album and preparing their live set for their upcoming shows.
