A.B. The Producer

About Me

Introducing AB The Producer At just 20 years old, A.B. The Producer is an accomplished music producer, rapper and singer. AB is a native of Washington, DC and a graduate of Ballou Senior High School class of 2006. In 2003, through the efforts of a close friend, AB was lucky enough to watch Kanye West laying tracks at Sony Studios in New York City. This encounter inspired him to step up his game in pursuing his dream of also becoming a producer. AB quickly began to work with aspiring artists that had talent and the drive to succeed. And, his hard work is paying off. AB’s has worked closely with Kenny Burns (former Rocafella Vice President) to become an in-house producer with Studio 43. He has produced for Raheem Devaughn (Jive Records), Walé (Interscope Records) and Marky (Universal Records). He also recently completed tracks for Raheem Devaughn’s upcoming project, The Love and War Masterpiece. AB is producing in a league of his own. In his own words: “I’m sick when it comes to music”. He believes that people gravitate towards his music because it impacts them. One of his goals is to set an example for young people who are interested in music. He wants them to realize it is not easy out here, but you can change your life through music. Hold it now! AB’s mixed tape, Producer’s Credit, is scheduled to debut on Mar 3, 2009. The tape will showcases AB’s work producing for local artists such as Walé and others from the District of Columbia, Maryland and Virginia metropolitan area.
