Sylvester Darnell, born and raised in Dayton, Ohio, has been involved in the entertainment industry as an actor for a little over a decade now. Sylvester initially received his start in motion picture films while auditioning in the presents of Grace Austin (Film Director) in Chicago for the role of Walter Lee in the stage play titled "A Raisin in the Sun". Impressed with the audition Sylvester acquired the role of Walter Lee and was offered a role in "Blood Money", his first appearance in an Indie film.
Sylvester has also appeared in several featured films such as "Fighting Temptations" and “Ali” as an extra. After quitting his full time job to pursue acting he would land supporting and principle roles in several Independent films. In 2002 Sylvester's passion would grow deeper as he developed an interest in plots and themes and began writing. After completing three screen plays, word spread about his talent. In 2005 he wrote and narrated his first commercial for Guardians Angels Adult Day Care Center. Later that year he would begin production as lead in his 7th Independent film as Marketti Riggs in the Indie film "Code Black", slated for a 2007 spring release.
Although born Sylvester Person, he changed his screen name after meeting C.E.O. of Urban Streets Television, JD Carson in 2006 as a result of being offered the position as producer of Urban Streets Television. Today Sylvester continues to produce for the show, write a variety of screen plays and scripts, and strongly pursues his career as an actor.
"Good things comes to those who wait, but only the things left by those who Hustle"….Words Sylvester live by.
