Playing and watching Hockey. Especially UVM hockey. Watching F1 and going Kart racing. Especially if Tim goes because he talks a lot of smack and then can't back it up with on track results. Working on my car / house when I have the time / money. Not much else that I can think of right now.
From Meet Joe Black - Love is passion, obsession, someone you can't live without. If you don't start with that, what are you going to end up with? Fall head over heels. I say find someone you can love like crazy and who'll love you the same way back. And how do you find him? Forget your head and listen to your heart. I'm not hearing any heart. Run the risk, if you get hurt, you'll come back. Because, the truth is there is no sense living your life without this. To make the journey and not fall deeply in love - well, you haven't lived a life at all. You have to try. Because if you haven't tried, you haven't lived.Well, other then that I stick to this - Somebody to Kart race against. Somebody to go to a hockey game with. Somebody to go get some mud pie with. I tend to find 'normal' people not only boring but also a bit annoying...
I have said before that I like all kinds of music and I still stand by that. Lately I have been listening to NOFX, Metallica, and Pantera. I guess it amps me up.I recently downloaded Amy Winehouse, Fiona Apple, Mazzy Star, Alanis Morissette, and Silversun Pickups. I recommend them all.The true true classics for me. 10k Maniacs Unplugged (heard it last night at RJs of all places), Pearl Jam Ten, Metallica Killem all, Green Day Insomniac, Blink 182s earlier stuff, Nirvana Insestiside and the self titled album, RHCP Blood Sex Sugar Magic, Alice in Chains, A Tribe Called Quest, Ill stop here. I might add more. The best concerts I have been to. Blink 182 right here at the fair grounds with Cindy! Godsmack with the younger sister for the lead singer, Thanks Elizabeth! George Winston with my Mom. If you can see George Winston go. There is no way that you wont get something out of it. I would love to see Janes Addiction or the Rolling Stones in concert. Some music I have recently grown interested in... Memphis Slim and Julie London. Or, I could just start listening to the 'blues' on Sirius. Please don't read into this people! The blues are good music. Fiona Apple and Sade are depressing.
My favorite of all time has to be Romeo and Juliet (the re-make) not for the story but for the soundtrack, film transitions, lingo, memorable quotes, and the fact that I can watch is time and time again and still find it captivating. Moulin Rouge was made by the same guy and has similar characteristics but just isnt as good. Reading some other peoples profiles I realized I left out my classics. Princess Bride is the first DVD I bought and I love it. Spawn, Godfather, Bourn Identity, Jackal. Most movies with Brad Pitt and/or Anthony Hopkins. I like Meet Joe Black but Ill admit it takes a drink or two to get through the whole movie and yes, its very cheesy and I realize this.
F1 Racing, Friends, How To Shows (Hometime, This Old House), How it's Made, Good Eats. This should be a good F1 season. Of course I am always saying that this time of year. I am excited to watch Lost. Starts tonight.
I generally like non-fiction stuff. I don't read for pleasure. I just read a whole book for the first time in I don't know how long. I really don't want to be anything like the guy, but "I hope they serve beer in hell" was a very entertaining book. I saw a few books on DJ's self that I think I will put myself to bed with. I won't list titles incase for some reason DJ were to be embarased.
My heroes (people who have inspired me to be who I am) include, My Uncle Lance, Larry Atkin, David Hallam, Dale Critchlow, the Sprouls. I also think Jamie Sifers if a hell of a guy to even though he is younger then I am and I have never met him in person.
