“One who embarks on an assignment knowing that she is going to tell a story through a series of pictures that will be viewed together and will cumulatively tell the story in a photo essay.†- the creative photographer by j. ingledew
2005-present. The captures I seek are not only those of the live performance; but also the more intimate – humanistic views not often seen – in contemplative thought before taking to the stage, backstage, during soundcheck, in studio, being among friends and fans. [ view ].

2006-present. Reportage coverage of the San Francisco bay area open mic scene.
@The Hotel Utah, San Francisco
On Monday nights, I volunteer as a photographer of this weekly open mic with host JJ Schultz - a residency which I cherish and a community that I told dear.
Event coverage is published online and editorial use web photos are provided to artists at no charge .
2007-present. Photographing that which I fear the most – driving. After a driver fell asleep at the wheel – their vehicle struck mine in a head on collision. I lay unconscious and when I awoke I was convinced my legs had been crushed as all I could see around me was crushed metal wreckage. I was fortunate – I could still walk. Emergency crews tell me my car (1989 Toyota MR2) saved my life. Despite surgery, I would lose the full use of my right hand and suffer from PTSD.
Special thanks to Klaus Flouride - for driving and for making me feel safe. And to Dave Gursom for his friendship and for keeping me calm.
