About Me

WE ARE SAD TO SAY THAT HOFFMAN DUPLEX DOES NOT LONGER EXIST. AFTER 4 YEARS OF BEAUTIFUL MELODIES AND UNFORGETTABLE LYRICS, HD'S LEGACY LEAVES US WITH A DEMO OF 3 SONGS, POTENTIAL YET UNDERATED. WE THANK ALL WHO SUPPORTED US AND MAYBE WE'LL MEET AGAIN IN FUTUREMET PIJN IN ONS HART DELEN WIJ MEDE DAT HOFFMAN DUPLEX NA 4 JAAR BESLOTEN HEEFT ER MEE TE STOPPEN. WIJ DANKEN IEDER DIE ONS GESTEUND HEBBEN DOOR DE JAREN HEEN

As a match made in heaven, Rotterdam based Jean-Marie Tournier (vocals) and Rob Antes (guitar) set out to write songs as a singer/songwriters duo to capture the audience with an acoustic beauty of strong lyrics, pure songs and breathtaking melodies. In 2005, taking it to the next level, HOFFMAN DUPLEX , a fully lined up band, saw the light as the interpretor of these songs putting them into a different light. Responsible for this transition are five musicians all well known to the dutch music scene. Jean-Marie Tournier, Rob Antes, Mark Hazenberg (Gersch) on guitar, Ron Valeri (Lemon Crush) on bass and George Tan (The Essence) on drums completed the band ready to take the stage for a mindblowing and captivating show.Ron Valeri reunited with Lemon Crush and is doing solo work. Eddy de Rooij took his place on bass to complete the line up.HOFFMAN DUPLEX plays songs in the likes of Tim Christensen, Gavin deGraw, Turin Brakes and Blind Melon. Their music is a playfull twist between easy listening acoustic tunes on one side and rocky popsongs on the other. If you come to see these guys live, you will get to hear songs that are played with such intention and so true to the heart, that you can do nothing but embrace them. HOFFMAN DUPLEX will leave you with a smile on your face wondering if the world stood still for just a moment.
