Was it murder? afterall, weeks prior to his death, Kurt confided in his best friends and even a seattle police officer, explaining he WAS NOT suicidal. The only person after his death to claim to the media that Kurt was suicidal was his troubled girlfriend Courtney Love. This goes against everything Kurt said, but the media decides to go with Courtney's Story. No questions asked. :/
The inquest into how he died after his death revealed Kurt had 3 times the lethal dose of heroin (225mgs)in his blood system. Medical experts say such an amount will leave you incapacitated and cause you to lapse into a coma within seconds, if not kill you instantly. There is no way that Kurt would have been able to take this dose, neatly put away all his belongings, roll down his sleeves and then been able to pick up a shotgun and shoot himself.
According to police reports, there were NO fingerprints found on the gun used, the pen used to write the suicide note or the shotgun shells found beside Kurt. This indicates that the murder scene was wiped clean of any evidence before the body was discovered.
In March, 1996, a man named Eldon Hoke came forward, stating that in December of 1993, Courtney Love offered him $50,000 to kill Kurt. However, he passed a lie detector test within 99.7% accuracy, proving that he was telling the truth when he said he did not murder Kurt.
These are just a few of the reasons i believe this case should be reopened and solved for good. This story has since been the focus of many television and radio shows, articles, books and documentaries, and you must asked yourself, what really happened in that first week of April 1994?
