suggestions to everyone:
please be nice. a lot of people aren't very nice at all, and i think everyone would be a lot happier if there were less jerks in the world. thankfully, i have awesome, non-jerky friends and an amazing family that supports and loves me.

talk with elderly people and hear their stories. our generation needs to appreciate our grandparents more, because they didn't have it nearly as easy as we have.
&
oh yeah, and be grateful for what you have. there are always people who are worse off than you.
&
laugh as often as possible.
&
know that you are in charge of your own life and what happens to you. too many people think they are victims of bad luck and tough breaks. no such thing exists; they are only consequences of bad decisions made either by themselves or other people close to them.
&
appreciate every beautiful day that you're alive.
you could easily be gone tomorrow.
