Life for a young St. Louis was forever changing. Born Yves Saint-Louis, of Haitian and Black descent, first residing in Oakhurst, then East Point, Macon to finally landing in Decatur, Ga. He was inspired by Luke Skywalker at an early age began to inquire about the street life being rejoiced on records. With bass, or “booty†music, being the norm, young St. Louis gravitated towards the legendary N.W.A. and the particular style of gangster metaphors and similes used by Ice Cube. Since then he has tried to become one of the greatest southern M.C.’s. Flash forward to Atlanta in the new millennium and St. Louis is still struggling to get noticed in the forever changing music industry. First signed to a local independent label, Blackout Music, St. Louis showcased his skills as an open minded, well rounded artist ready to take on the industry. At 28, he has humbled down and focused more on learning the business side of things and getting used to networking more. Still on a quest for greatness St. Louis can not stop the grind. The main focus of promotion is this popular internet music site, Myspace, and local talent showcases at clubs like Queen City, Body Tap, Eastside Pool Palace and even local birthday parties. Also, promoting by the blessings of mixed CD's of Atlanta Dj's like DJ Dante, Blackout Muzic, Steady Fix, Plandestine Productions, Freemind, and many others. As far as the Industry goes he is recognized for the quick moment on Amateur Night at the Apollo back in the day, St. Louis is still out to redeem himself and show the world why he is the next biggest artist, out of the "New Motown" of the south, twenty minutes east of Atlanta, GA.
