The Mongeese

About Me

Dear friends and supporters,
There are times in every life when difficult decisions need to be made and when certain things cherished need to be let go. As much as each such departure leaves the soul momentarily aggrieved, the only real tragedy is when the decision is faced too late or not at all. I've been putting off a great many decisions for some time now, and I now realize how naive I had been in avoiding them and that they can be deferred no longer without causing irreparable damage to my future happiness.
I've done everything with the Mongeese that I would be able to do without fully dedicating myself to making music, and there are other things I want to accomplish in life that are more important to me. Therefore, I think it's time to put this project (as well as other extraneous musical personae to which I've only been paying lip service for the last few years) to rest and begin to devote my energies to other endeavors.
I'd like to thank everybody who has supported this band throughout its history, and especially Nicholas Larimer, Laila Davis, Robin Sedivy, Robin's Argentinian friend (who played rhythm guitar on ...And Thus We Make Fire and whose name I don't remember), Chris Csont, Sam Ellison, Sarah Schaefer, Kaylan Mitchell, Alex Belhaj, Joe Ferdon, Jesse Maul for contributing to the creation of eight years and fifteen albums worth of recorded material. It's been a joy working with such talented individuals, and I wish you all luck in whatever theater of human endeavor you choose to make you own.
Catch you on later on down the trail,
-Brooks D. Thomas

Wherein we officially recognize

Alright, we admit it.  We made this album called The Black Arc many moons ago.  We thought it sucked and we disowned it.  That was during the nadir in a year of happy suck days.  W...
