I am a 26-year old working professional living in the great city of Raleigh, NC. I have called the Capital City my home since enrolling at NC State in 1998. I couldn't bring myself to return to my hometown, so I settled down here and just recently bought my first townhome.
I grew up in a small town down in southeastern NC that I will forever refer to as, "A great place to grow up; A horrible place to live." That's right, it's Calabash, NC. My family still lives there, so I visit as often as time allows, but my life is in Raleigh.
I graduated from State in 2002 with a degree in communication, concentrating in public relations. After spending working in the media relations office for the Wolfpack, I was offered a position with a small sports and entertainment firm that specializes in PR, business consulting, brand development, and organizational structuring. Some of our clients include: JR Motorsports, FitzBradshaw Racing, U.S. Navy, Nelly and MotionLite.
To those who don't know me that well, you could immediately assume I'm just a brash, abbrasive, mean bitch ... which, really that's not the case. I just have a low tolerance for ignorance and stupidity. As it seems, a majority of the people I come across in my daily routine are just that - ignorant and stupid. To those who take the time to get to know me, I'm a true and loyal friend. I am an active listener, and understand that just because one is talking, it doesn't mean they always want advice. (However, that doesn't mean I want to hear everyone's problems.)
I am on MySpace mainly to reconnect with old friends, as it seems none of my local and current friends are on it. (There are a few...Jess, Kim, Mandy, Amber) ... but the majority of the people I've come across are all from college and high school days.
