Life is a fantastic thing. Nothing else equals it. Striving for happiness and piece of mind is what I do. Life is how I do it. A Taoist proverb speaks of hardship and advises us to celebrate it. What a confusing piece of advice. It goes on to say that we should celebrate our hardship because without it we would not know happiness or satisfaction. We must celebrate being mistreated by others because without it we would not know love and compassion. We must celebrate all of our pain and difficulties in life, everything we always fear, because without those things we would not appreciate the good that comes to us. That is what this music is about. With music and lyrics that celebrate both the good and bad in life not a single person is left unspoken for. Heartbreak balancing with love realized. Anger balancing with compassion. Despair balancing with hope. Failure balancing with success. The desire to give up balancing with the strength to carry on. Many people spend their whole lives finding a way to fill their emptiness, I choose to spend my life filling that hole with everything i can. I write not for the sake of music nor popularity. I write for the sake of breaking from the human condition.
I have been a musician my whole life. Starting with hanging out in the musical section of preschool and singing to Raffi on to joining the school band and progressing into forming a band only to make my way into the live and recorded performance sector of the industry and now at the point of perfecting what I love...music.
I am currently performing gigs at random and recording just the same. Nothing that has been recorded has been mastered, but I am getting there. I have my dear friend Mike Inches aka DJ Strip assisting me with the process of recording and putting out an album thanks to his willingness to share his professional equipment, experience, and expertise to produce great work in his studio. With his help I will hopefully come out with finished and professional quality recordings.
I have muses in my life who keep me on track with my music and help me to push through the hard times. The inspire me to write and create music.
