About Me

..jimi has a lifetime of musical knowledge and experience. It began with his first drum-set at age five. At eight he studied piano, but soon realized his true passion was drums and percussion. His first drum lessons began with his uncle Tim Brown a renowned drummer throughout the southeast until his untimely death in 1977. jimi followed his uncles path for a time developing his ear for music then was mentored by advanced drummer's Jason Sturgis a multiple triplet crossover master, Chuck “Chicoh Costanero” Cooke who taught him that drumming is a lot like driving a bus! Don Hamrick rudiments and finger dexterity exercise's, Scottie Thomas the master of ambidextrious drumming, Master classes with Dave Weckl, Steve Smith, Horacio (El Negro), Jason Bittner, Pat Petrillo, Jason Gianni, and Glenn Weber. Jimi also participates in musical clinics and events.----------------------------------------------------- -------------------------jimi's musical knowledge and experience go far beyond instrumentation. He has provided professional technical support for renowned artists Michael McDonald, Eddie Money, Smash Mouth, Gym Class Heroes, Cartel, Augustana, Plain White Tee's, Hot Vegas, Morris Day and The Time, Billy Graham Evangelistic Association, Israel, Fred Hammond, New Breed, Bob Baldwin, Will Downing, Nichole C.
