Twitch has been touring the country as a full time musician since 1989. Moving to the Tampa Bay area in 1999 from Los Angeles, CA, he brings a musical flavor to the stage that is most often described as “freshâ€. Solid guitar styling, and a deep passion for touching people’s hearts at their deepest level, has resulted in a lasting career with much success. Born in New Jersey, but coming to us now from Florida, Twitch has been stepping out to make a difference in people’s lives through music, whether it be one or one thousand, and he’s turned up all over the country. Besides traveling over 150 days each year performing solo, he has also picked up two national 1st place song writing awards and a number of regional awards both on the West Coast and the East Coast. As far as providing something to take home for those who enjoy what he does, Twitch has released a self-titled debut made available through his own record label and at his concerts. The 15 song CD was produced by long time friend and musical partner, Eric B. Fraley, and is a collection of songs ranging from rock and alternative pop, to some strong ballads, and even includes 2 live cuts recorded in Los Angeles. Track 15 is actually a “radio version†of a song entitled “On My Wayâ€, which is in it’s full length version earlier in the recording. Twitch comments, “I am always annoyed when I hear a song on the radio, buy the CD, and then hear that song on the record in a different version. My song may never make it to radio, but at least if it does, people will have it on the CD the same way they hear it on the radio, plus they’ll have the original full length version too.â€
Twitch’s desire is to shower each listener with some hope in the midst of life, encouraging all of us on the journey to keep one foot in front of the other, and have some fun too. This has been motivated largely by the fact that he has wrestled with a condition called Tourette Syndrome. He comments, “No, I don’t swear... that is a symptom which is present in only the most severe cases. I have a lot of “ticsâ€, blinking, muscle contraction, and of course, I twitch. My hands, my face, and my arm are the most active areas, but sometimes it’s other places too.†To describe his goal, he states, “I share my life, the struggles, the victories, and often, my faith and how I view my circumstances with purpose. Rather than being a victim, I sense that I have been chosen to walk a different path, and hope to be an encouragement to others. Struggles are for learning and growth, to show us our frailty, to push us closer to God. There are a hundred million questions about God, but I think simply enough, that the experience of life on earth is a blessing, and awareness of God’s love can put hope into the darkest circumstance. It just happens that I have ten fingers that can play some chords and a voice that can make some noise, and I use them as best I can to express a heart that’s been filled with love and grace. That’s what I was designed to do.â€
