My life is like a ping-pong ball, it bounces in every direction. It has been a crazy ride, but I really enjoy the general direction that I am headed. I love knowledge. The more you learn, the less you don't know. You will even be more likely to be called by one of your friends when they are on "Who Wants To Be A Millionaire". I enjoy museums, art, reading, poetry and all of that sensitive junk. I am not a prissy little girley-girl, but I do have a softer side. She seldom comes out as I have her hand-cuffed and hidden in my closet, but she is there. On the other hand, I enjoy hiking and the great outdoors, video games and arcades, white water rafting, kayaking or just lounging on a boat on the water, bowling, shooting pool, football, amusement parks- expecially the big bad roller-coasters, visiting local parks and exploring all of the hidden wonders that this area has to offer. I would most definantly call myself diverse!
There are a few people I would specifically like to meet. A few past presidents, a hand-full of rock stars, a dozen actors and actresses or so, Bill Gates, but other than that... I just look for really cool people with similar interests to my own. People are everywhere and you are bound to find a few you like here and there along the way.
I really enjoy music. I listen to a little bit of everything from pop, to alternative, to trance, to classic rock, to country, a little blues, jazz. I like a good beat and do listen to the words. I try not to discriminate against any genre, but I must say that I really do not care for death metal. King Diamond kind of freaked me out a little when I was a kid and I can not get that nightmare imagery out of my mind. A sweet old grandma being pushed down the attic stairs!!!! LOL
I really enjoy a good story in a movie. A movie shouldn't always have to have a happy ending to be appreciated. Some of my all time favorates have been: The Fisher King, Harold and Maude, Big Fish, Shakespeare In Love, Narnia, The Princess Bride, Garden State, Clerks II, The Jerk, Say Anything and any other movie that can really reach an emotion in me.
I must admit that I am addicted to Survivor! Look out America- you will see me on that show one day! I would also be thrilled to have the chance to go on the Amazing Race, so if any television executives happen to look at this...HERE I AM!!! There are a lot of shows that I like like Lost, American Idol, and a bunch of other prime-time shows. If It wasn't for my TIVO I wouldn't have time for any of them. TV on TV time is a terrible thing!
I love, love , love to read! I usually prefer books of a horror genre, by authors such as Stephen King, Anne Rice, Ray Bradbury and such. But my favorate book of all times is the book I am named after and that is Shanna by Kathleen E. Woodweiss. It has mystery, murder, adventure, and lots and lots of sex! Its just a really great story, I highly recomend it.
My mom is my biggest hero!!! Other than her, I'd take Clark Kent from Smallville any day! No, seriously, I think Oprah has a heart of gold. But heros are everywhere- they are in classrooms, on the streets keeping us safe at night, overseas fighting our wars, and anywhere else you turn and see another person. We do not give enough credit and recognition to these every-day heros but that does not mean that they are not there! Everybody could be somebody elses hero, so own the life that you live, and be proud of who you are.
