About Me

I grew up in the burbs - went to Western Michigan University where I met the most fantastic man ever made and married him. I love being married to my husband who is a youth pastor and education director here in Gaylord. I love my life and can't believe that real life actually does get this good. Since we moved 200 miles away from our friends, I have been trying to find creative ways to stay connected with people our age and in our place in life (it isn't easy). We miss having close friends near us terribly which forces us to make lots of trips, phone calls and long weekends whenever we can. I am now an MSW (A Master in Social Work)and relieved to be done with higher education. Am I considering a doctorate you ask? No way man ---no flippin' way. We have a baby on the way and that is pretty consuming of pretty much everything.

My Interests

Creativity, art, music, travel, relationships, children, family, reading, gardening, holistic health, God and God's word.

Music:

David Crowder, Bond, Matt Redmond, Andrew Peterson, Jennifer Knapp, Sarah McLachlan, Tom Petty, U2, Duke Ellington, Frank Sinatra, Nora Jones...the list goes on and on...

Movies:

I am always in the mood for When Harry Met Sally, The Lord of the Rings Movies and I will always go to the movie theater to see a movie even if it is supposed to be bad...I love movie theaters.

Television:

Lost, Alias, Law and Order and Extreme Makeover Home Edition. New addictions: The office,and Grey's Anatomy

Books:

I read anything and everything.I just fnnished the Freedom Writers Diary and I am re-reading The Diary of Anne Frank (a 10th grade read that I havn't picked up since). This summer I tackeled Gone With The Wind and now I am working on the new Harry Potter!

Heroes:

My husband is a daily hero in my life. Others would be: my Dad, My Grandma Chapoton and Elanor Roosavelt...if you get the change read a biogrophy on her - she ruled!
