I have been drumming since the age of 13. I'm a third generation drummer. Grandfather Sam Sunness had his own touring vaudeville band, billed as "Sunny and Them Drums" Uncle Bob Sunness played with Herb Alpert and father David Sunness played with the Navy SwingBees during the Korean conflict years and continued playing jazz into the 90's then worked as a booking agent. Brother Eric Sunness a lawyer. plays electric bass guitar and is Head Ice Hockey Coach at Colorado State University. I have played across the country from New York to Boston to Los Angeles with many different bands mostly rhythm and blues, funk, rock and jazz. A couple of favorite gigs were, when my band opened for Bo Diddley at Magic City Music Hall and performing for a week with jazz legend Billy Eckstine. As a starving musician in Los Angeles (where I met my wife Sharon) in the 80's I worked as a gentleman's gentleman for actress Jennifer Jones and her husband, multi-billionaire art collector, businessman Norton Simon. I live in Binghamton, NY with my beautiful, sexy, intelligent and talented wife Sharon and our Dalmatian, Clay and Nina our Wheaton Terrier mix with an attitude. .... .... / ..
