About Me

I'm one of the top 17 accountants on my block... ok that's a joke but I am an accountant and I try to be funny. I guess it doesn't really matter if I'm actually funny because 95.7% of the time my humor is purely for my own enjoyment and I laugh at my own jokes anyway. Well, that was entirely too much about how funny I'm not and I don't feel like writing a bunch here but I'll give you something I wrote a while ago that kinda sums up my more serious side, that is if you can figure out what it means :) Oh, all this really happened too...Thoughts in Boston...Walking, waiting, wondering, worrying. Pain and love are as distant as a plane ride. Alone but never alone, I recall. My steps are light as I remember my burdens. Are my worries anything that even matters in the end. I think not. Though my heart matters. And my concern is just that. This circle is unending as I have no destination. Pure love has changed me. Although my pant cuffs continue to drag through the streets claiming mud and stains. No matter how many times I bend down to roll them, they fall to the dirt because I keep walking. Illumination from the steeple presents a glow on my face through the mist. I long for and fear the beauty that only my tears can reveal. Hoping it will end but praying it never will. A homeless wanderer lays down for the night, two lovers pause to kiss in the gleam from the water, and I with my hands in my pockets. I see loveliness all around me amidst devistation. I long for my devistation to be lovely. Maybe it already is. Maybe I am lovely. Maybe I am lovely...

Intriguing things to me about Japan

1. All the streets and sidewalks are clean but there are no garbage cans to be found.  Where do they put the garbage?  Do they carry it around?  What is going on? 2. Old men always walk...

Passing out while at work

So, yes.  I did it.  The world began to get dark and I pretty much faceplanted at work... in the middle of the hall... in front of a bunch of people.  Why, you ask.  Well, less me ...

Deep Thoughts by Greg and Susie

I was deleting old texts when I came across one from Greg and my reply: Greg - If a man takes a dump in the forest and there is noone there to smell it, does it still stink? Susie - Only if it makes a...

Car Dealership Auditing

A few strange things about auditing car dealerships: 1.  The accounting wing has a small closet kind of room where the employees are allowed to smoke.  Now a smoking room doesn't seem too un...

Virginia First Impressions

First impressions aren't necessarily the best.  We arrived in Roanoke and my coworker's luggage was lost.  Now I know that isn't Virginia's fault, it was probably KC's but we were only speak...
