Hi. I’m Eric and welcome to my MySpace page. I am professional freelance guitarist and writer living in Nashville Tennessee and currently the tour manager, band leader, and lead guitarist for country music artist and songwriter Rhett Akins .
Shortly after my arrival to Nashville from New England in 2002, I landed my first touring job as a guitar tech on the Toby Keith Shock N’ Y’ All Tour. Following my stint with Toby, I worked as a guitarist on the Honky Tonk Tailgate Party tour playing guitar behind Rhett Akins, Daryle Singletary, Chad Brock, and Jeff Carson nightly. After the breakup of this package tour in 2005, I stayed on with Rhett.
I have performed in every state in the Continental US as well as performances in Canada, France, and Switzerland. I have worked on the Grand Ole Opry, the Tonight Show, the Jimmy Kimmel Show, and the View, and have performed on stage with Toby Keith, Blake Shelton, Vern Gosden, Jamey Johnson, Colt Ford, Oteil Burbridge (Allman Brothers), Joe Nichols, Trent Tomlinson, Trent Willmon, Andy Griggs, Wade Hayes, Wayne Jackson (Memphis Horns) and Phil Keaggy. Some of my original compositions have been licensed to the television shows “Real Trees Road Tripsâ€, “The Tommy Wilcox Showâ€, and the documentary “ Chef da Riz †by award winning filmmaker Jeremy Campbell.
In addition to performing on numerous Nashville recording sessions as a freelance musician, I work as a producer and engineer in my own recording studio, Music On a Hill . Located 20 minutes west of downtown Nashville, the studio is available for songwriter demos and custom projects. I am available for live performances, session work, guitar lessons, and career mentoring.  I am also a copy-writer for the website design company, Just Ducky Designs and available for freelance writing projects as well. My first book “The Nashville Musician's Survival Manual†will be a comprehensive outline of one of the world's biggest music scenes, offering a complete job by job breakdown with advice about how to network and land paying gigs in Music City. The book is near completion and will be available later this year.
