Hmmm...What do you want to know? I started dating my best friend when I was 22. We were married 7 years later. I am still madly in love with him. I'm a liberal. I'm a middle child. I'm a pescatarian (soon to be vegetarian, then eventually vegan, mostly to annoy my friend Zoie). I'm a pediatric nurse. I once participated in a record-breaking kazoo ensemble at Death Valley (Clemson University). I hate the sound of a kazoo. I played trumpet in the third grade. I hate the sound of a trumpet when played by a third grader. But I love Miles Davis. I was on a deck that collapsed when I was 22 years old. It hurt. A lot. I drink. I’m a former smoker (8 years “cleanâ€) and I would start again if I was told I was going to die in 6 months. Even so, I'm thrilled Maryland passed a no-smoking law for bars and restaurants. I have a hard time spelling restaurant. I cook rarely. Eat out often. I prefer to eat outside and will do so until the waiters won't come out in the cold to take my order anymore. I have three cats and a puppy who are the only “kids†I need in my life. I hate regrets, so I have very few. I meditate. I work hard at mindfulness. Mindfulness is difficult. I talk fast. Very fast. And loud. I think red jelly beans are the only ones worth eating. I love to travel and do it as often as possible. I’m going to get an “Om†tattoo when I can decide where on my body to get it. And when I work up the nerve. Pet peeves - people who use religion as an excuse for hatred, network news, Ann Coulter, Bill O’Reilly, slow drivers in the fast lane, a government that won’t admit it’s lies and people who can't figure out what do to at a four-way stop sign. I'm studying Buddhism. My friends mean everything to me. I strongly believe peace is worth it.
