It hasn't been an easy road so far for Brisbane/Gold Coast post-hardcore quintet Dollarosa, having been plagued with line-up changes since their inception in 2005. Having lost their singer in 2006, the band when on an indefinite hiatus whilst searching for a new front man.
August, 2008 saw the guys finally catch a break in the form of local producer Jarred Doevendans (Tremor Studios) stepping in to fill the long vacant role of lead-singer. With the help of Jarred, the boys cut their debut self-titled EP and looked to take the show on the road. But the shows remained elusive...
Unfortunately Rock is a cruel mistress - a lot of effort spent and quite often there is little or no return, and this saw Dollarosa's bassist Allanna Barnard leave the band in mid 2009 to pursue her studies. Enter Jason Fields...
Finally catching their stride in late 2009 Dollarosa have only moved from strength to strength in the last couple of months.
Hoping to usher in the new year with a string of big shows, an explosive live show and an amazing new EP on its way - these 5 guys have big things planned for 2010.
