I'm 26 years old... the youngest of 4 of the greatest brother and sisters anybody could ever ask for...Born in the Philippines, barely 5 years old when we came to the states, I can honestly say that I turned out fairly "normal" considering the struggles and conditions we all had to go thru growing up ...
* My Family *
My mother is the true foundation and rock of our family, and her faith in God and in prayer is definitely the source of her strength. It took a whole 26 years for me to be able to understand this... moreso to understand her, and be able to speak to her on the same level... and it makes me content to know that I am finally "at peace" with her.
* Me and my Mama =) *
I play many roles in this lifetime... a daughter, a sister, a niece, an auntie, a godmother, a friend, a girlfriend, a role model... I take on as much as I can fit on my plate. I'm a firm believer that the best way to learn is from our mistakes... and I always love to learn new things... maybe that is why I make so many mistakes =)I can honestly say that God has truly blessed me. I'm at a turning point in my life right now... I feel many big things headed my way... mostly in my relationships and career. . . I have a boyfriend (Ricky) whom I've been with for about 2 years now... I really believe that our paths were meant to cross... He's the best gift God could have ever given me... No one else can compliment me as much as he does =)

I also have a close knit group of friends (Jon, Karen, and JB) that I am very thankful for. Just this year, Karen and JB (soon to be married) have moved to Las Vegas... Another obstacle our friendship had to endure... They say that distance makes the heart grow fonder... I just like to think that they're still just a bay bridge away =) Jon has grown to be just like a brother to me... I'm very lucky to have them in my life =)

Introducing the newest addition to our family - Charlie =) Ricky got him for me for my birthday this year. He's the BEST dog ever! =)
I'm as simple as it gets... very down to earth, non high maintenance, responsible... I like to think of myself as an old soul... I like to have a good time, meet new friends and reunite with old ones.
oh another thing. . . I LOVE THE JABBAWOCKEEZ! LOL

My Interests

Anybody who knows me knows I love to cook and throw little get togethers. Let's just say if you haven't had my corned beef and eggs, then you are really missing out on a great friend like myself...lol... I love to dance, although I have kinda "outgrown" the whole clubbing scene... I like to go out and watch movies, eat out at new restaurants, take long drives to nowhere with my baby, shopping sprees at my favorite stores... Target, aka "Tarjhay" lol, New York & Co., Gap, Walmart! =P ... I love planning parties... I aspire to be an event coordinator one day... I'm real simple and laid back.... I can be anywhere from haning out with my 3 amigos (Karen, Jon and JB) at the Hukilau... to hanging with my baby Ricky in Vallejo eating at Taco Jallisco =) or doing absolutely nothing in my house all day!

I'd like to meet:

My circle of friends isn't huge... and I kinda like it that way... Don't get me wrong, I love meeting new people, but I can honestly say that I do have more acquaintances than I do have friends I've known since back in the day. I would love to run into people I went to Epiphany with (Class of 1992) or Lowell High School (Class of 1996)... even possibly old .. friends that I've lost touch with... If my name rings a bell, don't be a stranger =) p

I can listen to old school slow jams all day and not get sick of it... I love R&B, mainstream hip hop, top 40s... anything with a good beat I can dance to... Missy Elliot is the ish... so is Janet Jackson, No Doubt, Blackeyed Peas, 311, Maroon 5, Coldplay... list goes on ...

Movies:

I'm a chick flik girl... my newest favorite movie is 50 First Dates... Julia Roberts is dope... loved her in Pretty Woman, Steel Magnolias... The movie Ghost will always make me cry evertime I watch it... Any teen movie from the 80's...Pretty in Pink, Sixteen Candles, Breakfast Club... Grease... you get the idea =)

Television:

Anything on the Food Network; MTV Real World and Road Rules; any reality TV; Queer Eye for the Straight Guy, Trading Spaces, Cheaters, Project Runway, Made ...

Heroes:

The love of my life for always loving me when I'm being so unlovable =)

Friends for Life . . . Fantastic 4 =) (= =) (= for being friends thru thick and thin =)

My role models for life. . . sibs, Rachel, Rod and Rowena for never turning their backs on me and our family... Love you guys! =D
