I am here for Friends

About Me

Here is what I am: strong, with a clear sense of right from wrong and I accept responsibility for my choices. This may seem elementary, trust me; it is not. My value system is clearly defined and I color within those lines. It makes life so much simpler. Key words to describe my values: Integrity (Doing the right thing when no one is watching.); Honesty (100% of the time.); Patience (Life is a series of lessons, some of which will be revealed to you after much heartache.); Regard for Mankind (We are human and as such connected on a level far below the skin; far below religious beliefs, ideals, cultures.); and Love (It is not a flower, nor a weed; neither a salvation, nor a condemnation; it is an ever evolving sphere in which people exist and make of it what suits them...and it is, quite simply, why we are here.) I enjoy spirited debate and welcome such from well researched opinions other than mine on such issues as politics; religion; national and world events; and social issues. I'm also relentlessly positive and almost always happy. If you are neither, I'm going to annoy you on some level, I'm sure. Here is what I am not: a liar, a thief, a cheat, a pushover, a nag, a quiet, shy withdrawn wallflower, or a man hater. I'm not carrying a torch for someone nor baggage from past relationships. I'm not looking to save the world or to change you - nor do I wish to be changed. I may have arrived on a turnip truck, but I was driving it, not riding on the back. I do not deal in hints, hidden meanings and innuendo. I speak plainly and expect the same from you. If you lie, I will eventually figure it out, so let's save each other the trouble of moving past this point. If, on the other hand, honesty is important to you - and you want to be my friend...come on in...the water's fine...

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

People with an informed opinion...passionate about SOMETHING! ANYTHING!Just FEEL, damn it...FEEL...Nobody ever died from feelings...Some people collect stamps...me, I collect friends...and experiences.I can find fun in the mundane. I'm all about exploring life's hidden doors and secret passageways...Being ever mindful of the rabbit hole..."The time has come", the Walrus said, "to speak of many things; of shoes and ships and sealing wax and cabbages and kings."

My Blog

It occurs to me that the search for love is a lot like looking for shark teeth...

Figuratively speaking, of course.  It never dawned on me that those cool shark teeth dangling from necks of surfers and other beach lovers, could be found washed up on the beach&that is, until I ...
