NITRO

Nitro a.k.a Mr. Evahype local hip hop artist is a force to be reckoned with, at age 20 Nitro has been creating a name for him self locally and international. His husky and powerful voice sets him apart from any artist. At 10 yrs of age Nitro made his first performance at a local talent show and won in his division. Since then he has been perfecting his craft, enhancing his writing skills, and mastering his aggressive flow. After spending a great amount of time living in New York City, performing in nightclubs and attending plenty record label auditions, he then came to grips of what was needed to make it in the music industry. This was a major reality check and a big wake up call to step his game up. On his return back to Barbados in late 2005, Nitro met with long time friend Danny Reid in late November who introduced him to Mr. Strategy, owner of Triple E Studios. After auditioning, Nitro was signed immediately and recorded his first feature on Reid's single “Leave That Boy Alone” which blazed the radio stations. Other hits like “Study It” and “Gimme the Night” made his name known in the local hip hop arena. He also has tracks on Mix Master Donne’s Mixtape which is in stores across the island, Nitro has also done work with Quantum Studios, Hit Island Studios, Undaground Studios, Worrell Brothers Studios, Ian Alleyne, Slam City Studios, Boom Shack Studios etc. Nitro then went on to the next level when he made a guess appearance at the end of Levi and Danny Reid music video “Get Ur Money Up” with a verse from the hit song “Study It” which placed them in the number 1 spot for 10 weeks straight on the Roaming television show. This gave him the opportunity to perform at numerous shows, if you have never seen Nitro in performance mode, you’ve really missed out. He is dynamic entertainer, you can feel the hype when he’s on stage rocking the crowd, he has also performed with bands such as Strategy, Electrik and The Toni Norville Band. Recently Nitro has made another move in his musical career by signing to Good Entertainment, owner Kirk Brown and has recorded a number of tracks so far. He is featured on the track “So Good” which is sung by label mate Slims and the track is currently doing excellent on the airwaves. You can look for the music video to be out pretty soon. You can also look out for Nitro’s next single “Mash It Up” ft Tejay to be out around late February, also the long awaited album from Triple E studios “ The Unpolished UndaDawgs” and Nitro’s Mixtape “EvaHype Music Volume 1”.His new label Good Entertainment is also releasing an album and you will definitely find him on that also. He has recorded a banging track with a popular Canadian rap group RLP to be released on their new album.
