About Me

Inserts Typical Cheesy "About Me" paragraph here to try to impress people.

Check Out My Japan Pictures.

My Interests

Writing, playing, observing, listening, and endulging myself in music.

I'd like to meet:

Stevie Wonder, Ben Kenney, Jimmy Page, Dave Grohl, and the baddest muffhugger on the planet, Billy Gibbons...pretty much just musicians.

Music:

This is my order of top 10 favorite albums(roughly):

1. "Dark Side of the Moon" Pink Floyd
2. "Grace" Jeff Buckley
3. "Songs in the Key of Life" Stevie Wonder
4. "Physical Graffitti" Led Zeppelin
5. "Blue" Joni Mitchell
6. "Aja" Steely Dan
7. "Superunknown" Soundgarden
8. "Synchronicity" The Police
9. "Abbey Road" The Beatles
10. "26" Ben Kenney

...I'm tired of listing all these great bands and artists that everyone knows...check this guy out, he's amazing: Ben Kenney

Movies:

I enjoy the Kill Bill series along with any Tarantino work. Movies that are generally dark like "The Ninth Gate" or "The Game."

The super-nerdy movies like "The Lord of the Rings" etc. I love.

I maintain that the greatest character ever played in a movie, in terms of acting and role creation, is Doc Holiday in Tombstone played by Val Kilmer.

Television:

Chappelle's Show, Aqua Teen Hunger Force, The Sopranos, Everyday Italian, Scrubs, Burn Notice, Man vs. Wild, and the Time Life music series infomercials on at 3AM (especially the Smooth Soul and R&B Collection).

Books:

Neverwhere, Neverwhere, Neverwhere...read it.

Heroes:

Jesus Christ, Jimmy Page, and my Dad.

Kyoto

Kyoto was fantastic.  When Bryan and I stepped off the train it was like "WHOA."  The train station was one of the most impressive I have seen in all of Japan.  It was enormous and lit...

Himeji Castle

I went there.  It was fun.  It was 45 mins, or so, from Kyoto, so Bryan and I went and saw this really traditional Japanese town.  It was very un-'touristy,' which I greatly prefer.&nbs...

Well I figured I should give everybody a rundown as to where I have been for a week. Last Monday I went to Oarai and hopped on a ferry boat to the Northern island of Japan known as Hokkaido. ...

Hokkaido and Other Things

It's Sunday. First off, we met with the boy's family that we had the drowning incident with.  Needless to say I was blown away at their generosity.  They spent over $1000 on various gifts.&n...

Quasi-Good Deed for the Year

Today was an interesting day to say the least.  Bryan, Dan, Michi and I went to the beach in Hitachi after eating lunch today.  The water and waves were particularly strong today.  I wa...
