I love music, my television, my hubby and my children (the canine and feline variety). I'm happiest dancing, challenging myself and others (mind, body and beliefs), hanging out, drinking, sitting on my ass and being lazy. Basically, if I'm not working, I'm content. Yeah, go ahead and make your smartass comments. I don't care.
I'm generally easy to get along with; however, I'm often outspoken and easily annoyed. I believe people should stand up for that which is important to them, regardless of consequence or scrutiny. Don't wait for someone else to do it. My #1 pet peeve... IGNORANCE. But, I just don't have time to get into that one right now. I tend to be aggressive, so don't take it personally. I smoke, drink, listen to loud music and drive a fast car (at least I used to. Now I just drive a fun car. Fast gets me into too much trouble). I work hard (often too hard) and play hard (when I can). Although recent years have turned me into quite the hermit, I've again learned to appreciate the importance of good friends, and I'm actually making an effort to (re)connect. I forgot how much fun going out really is. But as I get older, I find it's just easier (not to mention cheaper) to come home and kick back with a drink and the telly than it is to actually get off my ass and do something. Yeah, getting old sucks, but it's better than the alternative.
A few of my dislikes...
Self-centered, self-serving, contemptuous East Cobb soccer moms - or your basic run of the mill yuppies anywhere... Jackasses who can't drive - or who shouldn't drive due to severe mental inadequacy - but do it anyway... People who insist on babbling when I'm in a hurry... People who insist on driving, walking, biking, skipping (well, you get the picture) slowly in front of me when I'm in a hurry... The dumbass who lets everyone cut in front of them in traffic... The shiny, happy person who doesn't need coffee every morning.
Things that make me happy...
Coffee... Lots of coffee... Good friends... My family... Toys of all kinds ;)... Traveling... Football (Love my Dawgs!!)... Watching movies... Reading books... Yoga... Gardening (yes, I actually did type that)... Logic problems... Dancing (till I pass out)... I know these last few are very different activities, but they affect me the same. I'm able to lose myself. I don't have to think about anything or deal with anything (or anyone). I can clear my head and be nowhere and no one...
