..The Okay Thrill officially formed in December 2006 with vocalist/lead guitarist Matt Shelton, vocalist/guitarist Luke Walker, and drummer John Steinmetz. In the last year and a half, many changes have come about. In late 2007, The Okay Thrill acquired keyboardist Micah Walker, and in January 2008 bassist Baron Stout was recruited to the lineup the day before his first concert with the band, however, in late March of 2008, Baron Stout decided to leave the band. Matt Shelton has temporarily left the band and will be back in March of 2010 as full-time member. The Okay Thrill is currently recording their new EP, which is set to be released in mid to late 2008.
The Okay Thrill was recently featured on an episode of KC Anthem, an online TV show dedicated to promoting the Kansas City scene, and showing off local talent. You can find that episode at www.KCanthem.tv
