Larry Binn (Doc Wily)born in and raised in Atlanta Ga.He came up hearing all types of music from R&B to Jazz but always loved Hip Hop from the first time he heard it. He Got his start as a D.J.,DjDr.Wily.It turned into Doc for short.D.J.DOC.Wily came from Willie his middle name and his wild out going personalty. Wily is unpredictable but Doc is cool calm and collective.
Later Doc formed a group called 285.With Two friends from high school. 285 put out an album called "Lyrical Traffic" on Fort Knoxx/SouthWest records. The distribution label South West went bankruped shortly after the release of Lyrical Traffic.But 285 had local success. with Kujo Goodie and producer Mid Night Black on the album. With no promotion Doc and 285 sold at lest 10,000 copy's.
After the 285 went different ways Doc went solo.He lives by the Freddrick Douglass phrase "If there is no struggle there is no progress" and life has been a struggle for this young man.He writes of the things he has seen or done in his life time. "Im not a follower im a trend setter so i do Doc not what other artist doing and saying right now".And that what sets Doc apart from the rest of the rappers out to day.
Tennis Shoe Pimpin also has a tee shirt clothing line.That is releasing this summer.Doc has toured with people such as Goodie Mobb ,Bobby Brown, Sammy Sam ,Witchdocter,Getto Mafia,Raheem the dream,and done shows all across the nation. Wily has a blend of southern hip hop at its best. He takes a innovative directions with fly raps and graceful delivery has Doc being compared to artist like Kanye West ,Naz ,Jay-z ,OutKast,Emenem .But you can't put ever artist in a box.
Fresh Out The Lab is the name of his Debut Album it will release late Summer.He is one of 2009 class of new artist.TSP or "Tennis Shoe Pimpin"is his debut single .Doc says "sneaker cultuer is a big part of Hip Hop it World Wide from Japen to the U.k. to the U.S. and i love tennis shoes just as much as i love to ryhme so it came to me that all my life i been Tennis Shoe Pimpin"so if you love a fresh pair of tennis shoes TSP is for you .Look out for my new tee shirt line for men and wemon and children comming soon its "TSP" HITTING THE STREETS SOON !
