Writer/Emcee Sylence, born Lawrence Cornick Jr. on January 24, 1985, came up around the streets of North East Baltimore. As a young child, he always had dreams of being a rapper in the back of his mind but he wanted to be an NBA star at first. After an injury at age 14 that left him sidelined for a few months, Sylence had time to work on his "never-pursued" childhood hobby. As time passed he got better and sharper and really had an understanding of what he was doing. At the age of 19, Sylence began recording with local DJ, DJ Mic Marvelous. He then developed an identity describing his laid back, quiet personality hence the name "Sylence." Sylence almost does a complete mutation from the streets to the studio. His cocky attitude and extremely confident swagger makes his audience want to get to know the other side of him. Sylence is also one-half of Baltimore's most slept on duo, M.C.F. At age 22 Sylence is ready to work with new artists and producers and hopefully start his own independent label. He wants to record a mixtape and an album somtime in 2007. Get ready...
